5 for $5

Well, needless to say it has been a while!!  Thankfully this is not my first time crafting in over a year, but rather just my first post in over a year!  Much much has happened (buying a house, getting two dogs, replacing the roof on the house, etc.) but I will go into that more later!

Here it is!  The 5 for $5 Challenge at Moxie Fab World :

All the cards are 4.25 x 5.5.

Here is what I got for $5:

       - 2 8.5 x 11 purple canvas texture cardstock by core'dinations (25 cents ea on clearance) $ 0.50
       - 1 12 x12 purple flower cardstock by me and my big idea (on clearance) $0.50
       - 1 12 x 12 blue embossed butterfly paper by core'dinations (you guessed it, on clearance!) $0.50
       - 1 stamp set by studio g (one dollar bin with 40% off coupon) $0.60
       - 1 sticker sheet by studio 112 (dollar bin!) $1
       - 1 die cut borders by studio 112 (dollar bin again) $1
        _________________________________________
Total:                                                  $4.10 (it was $4.33 with tax)

(all from JoAnn's)

What a fun challenge!  I was so excited when I saw it last week but wasn't able to get around to it until tonight!  Props to my favorite person ever, my husband, for being a good sport when I dragged him to the craft store after a long day of classes and gave great advice while helping me hunt down the sales.

Have a great day!!

After much dreaming (literally, I dreamed of crafting this past week!), thinking, and planning, I have created my first Tuesday Trigger Challenge card. I think its pretty. :) It has been snowing all day and continues to snow as I write this, so the whiteness of the card seems fitting!  I loved the cascading flowers on this cake, that is the primary inspiration for my card.  I made it for Mother's Day because I think my mom would like it. :) I hope you enjoy it!

The flowers were cut using my cricut (George Basic) on white card stock. The purple swirls were stamped with Autumn Leave's Flourishes in Brilliance Dew drop ink in purple. The greeting is Inkadinkado. All is on white cardstock. Enjoy!

Here I go!

In college I was an official blogger for about a year, after which I graduated and, of course, left the blogging gig.  However, after reading Paper Crafts magazine at the Sandpoint, ID library, I was pulled into the Moxie Fab World  blog where every Tuesday there is a Trigger picture that people use as inspiration for a new card.  Well, after over a month of looking at the triggers (and even sharing them with my husband :) ) I have decided to enter the world of online card-makers and their respective blogs.  Hopefully anyone who reads this will enjoy what I may create and maybe want to create as well!  Its fun! Anyway, to start it off I'm going to post *gasp* (it was an excited-and-a-little-nervous gasp) a card I made a while back. Here I go!

Happy Crafting!

(I'm not sure what I used for this card!  I'll start keeping track!)
